Baking day....

Yum yum....how delicious can that be? I baked some cookies today...double chocolate chips...nice right? Anyway, will be baking browNies soon...cant wait+)lol. Eh...not easy okay...it takes a lot of effort and hard work you know?

Just read my Sec 2(nxt year) literature book...The Pearl. I feel that the story is seriously sad...the baby died at the end.....Anyway it is kinda nice. It talks about how a family struggled through life when they found a pearl, which gave them bad luck.

I will be having a class bbq tmr...but only selected people can go..so tats about 10 to 15 people...hope we have fun swimming and eating...I will be planning games...wish tat they will like it...lol=)

I also heard that Filbert from the teens is leaving Singapore for USA to further pursue his education. Know will all miss him...will try to write him a card...

Oh yah...yesterday I went out with Kai zhuo to spend time...we went to Vivo city. Firstly, we went to Candy Empire and bought some stuff.Next, we had dinner at a Hong Kong restaurant...I had cheese beef baked rice set and Kai Zhuo had spicy chicken noodles...it was super delicious. We spent $30.40...quite expensive but once in a while okay right? The funny thing was that when we paid the bill, we gave cash....coz most people there used credit cards...but luckily they accepted it. We went for a movie after that...Madagascar 2....it was seriously hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing...the ticket was only $7 and we had a combo set for free coz we had a voucher. When the show was over, we went out and saw a magnificent sight...
Nice right?

We took a bus home and bid goodbye..I reached home at around 12.30am and my mother wasn't really happy. But I apologised and said that I would be more disciplined with my time when I go out in the future....tats how my day ended....It was seriously an exciting day!

Journalist course ends....

Haven't been writing for quite some time. Anyway, my journalist course just ended yesterday...it was extremely fun. Having Mr Marc Checkly come down to our school for 4 days to teach us about journalism was really cool. Mr M.Checkly is a journalist who is really hilarious and intelligent. He comes from New Zealand and also went to the Beijing Olympics to report. How cool is that??? We learnt how to do interviews, reports and so many other interesting things. The $120 course, fully subsidised by the school, was really beneficial and meaningful. I really do hope that I would become a journalist when I grow up. However, its no more "fun time" from now onwards as we would need to do reports for the school. This requires us to be very serious and focused... but I am sure I will have fun in doing it.
Yesterday, I also went for my NCC training. We practised our drills and played some IMT games. However tired I may be, I still needed to go to Church after the course and trainings from 8am to 5pm. Surprisingly, I felt rejuvenated after church! I feel that the songs, lessons and fellowship really woke me up...After that, we went to the nearby coffee shop for supper. That's how the day ended....today nothing much has happened but am hoping that fun would spring up in the evening.

Halloween party in Church

Hi Hi....anyway I had such a great time in Church last Friday. It was Halloween party and we watched a movie in Church....not a horror one sadly=(Many people dressed up as ghostly and horrifying characters...Ju-on, The Ring and so on.....It was so exciting and funny.
On Sunday, I went to Church and after that went to Sean's birthday party at compass heights condominium in the function room. There were so many people....Sean's classmates and also our Church friends. We watched National Treasure, swam and also had great food. We ended off with a birthday cake and singing a birthday song for Sean...One funny thing was that while swimming, many of us were caught not wearing proper attire. Many of us just wore our pants and jumped into the pool..lol. But of course, I was properly attired...hehe=) So at the end, the security guard chased us out and we only swam for half an hour. I mean who swims for only half an hour? The boys were kinda mischievous....trying to hide from the security guard( running from one end of the pool to the other). It was so funny...we also went to the children's room and we were playing like crazy+)...The whole party was so exciting. There were really great food...cheese tofu, chicken curry, bee-hoon and so much crackers....yummy! However, I have to confess something, I didn't give him a present! lol. I would be giving him this Friday...but I still can't decide on wat to give him....better think fast! My father picked me up after that and I went back home.....Today, I played card games with my family and also had devotion. That's how my day ended...goodbye.

IT course in school...

Erro...anyway I went for an IT course this morning from8.30am to 4 pm. It was kinda boring but my friends introduced me to some games....lol=)The teacher was so weird. We actually spent most of our time playing computer games and doing what we want. He even let us off early and we went to the nearby Hawker centre to have our lunch. I had fried carrot cake and cold Cheng Teng. It cost me $5 altogether....It was delicious but I felt that the Cheng Teng had too much ice in it. After that we went back to the IT lab and continued playing computer games...I played Hot dog bush from Y8.com and also the impossible quiz....it was seriously fun and I think I am addicted to it....no lah.hehe+) I feel that it was a good experience for me to be playing some online games rather than reading and watching television programmes all the time. The funny thing was that the teacher kept on bugging us to go back home early...around 3pm. I mean which teacher does that? Most teachers usually hold us back...but this teacher was different. Maybe he had to run some errands.I went back home and slept until 7pm and had dinner.....that's all....nothing interesting.I can't wait to go to church tomorrow!

Ncc beach cleaning day yesterday.....

Today, I woke up early in the morning to do my bible study and prayed for more than an hour...hehe=)I learnt in my bible study that the grace of Jesus Christ, the love of the almighty God and the fellowship of the Holy spirit is with all of us. We should do what is right and serve the Lord. We must have faith in him and pray everyday too.
After that, I watched 10 000 B.C which my father borrowed from video Ezy. The show was really interesting and touching. From Roland Emmerich, director of The day after tomorrow and Independence day, 10 000 B.c is a show about a man who tries to rescue his beloved and fulfil his destiny. On the journey, he faces several obstacles such as a saber-toothed tiger and prehistoric predators. Many lives were lost while on the bold trek. In the end, he found an advanced lost civilisation and managed to rescue his beloved.....lol=)
Yesterday was Ncc beach cleaning day so the Ncc members had to assemble in school at 12.45pm. At 1.30pm, we headed for East Coast park to pick up the rubbish there. However at 2.10pm, it started to drizzle and droplets of rain were trickling down our foreheads . Soon it became a downpour and it was raining cats and dogs. We had to quickly rush to the nearest shelter for cover and it was packed like sardines. Sadly or somewhat unfortunately, the event was summarised by the Ncc commander giving us a speech and we picking up rubbish for only half an hour. "It is my pleasure to thank all of you for coming down to clean the East coast beach. We are very fortunate to be living in Singapore and we must each do our part to save the environment,"said the commander of the Ncc.
I feel that although we only picked up rubbish for a short period of time, we learnt many things such as contributing to the society and doing our part to save the environment in which we live, work and play. I felt the the whole experience was meaningful and beneficial. For one, we learnt how to better appreciate what we have....it was really awesome and fun!

Yesterday was also my mother's birthday and I wrote her a card and gave her a gift. However, we did not celebrate it with a cake as it was my sister's O' levels examination. My parents went out together to have dinner- Vietnamese food at a restaurant. They sure enjoyed themselves! Oh boy, there are seriously a lot of birthdays....this Sunday we will be celebrating Sean's birthday and I hope we all have fun. I wonder what present I should buy for him....
Tats all for now, please leave comments! haha+)

Friends over night....

Hi everybody....yesterday two of my church friends, Daniel and Andrew, came over to my place to stay overnight. We went to Eastpoint and bought many groceries. We had our dinner at the Hawker centre just outside the mall. We had Japanese food called something Don. I heard that Don was usually rice but I ate mine with ramen....Anyway the food was sumptuous! After that we went back home and watched a show called Kungfu Hustle. It was so hilarious that we laughed our hearts out. I think the show was really entertaining. We also played card games. It was known as Cheat and Stress....hehe=)We sure had a great time of fellowship.
Today we all woke up early in the morning to do our bible study. Andrew and I learnt that brothers and sisters should live together in unity and that God is watching over us. We prayed and reflected(meditate)on what we had learnt, taking into consideration how it can apply(relate) to us and how we can put it into practice in our daily lives.Next we were served pancakes which my mother had specially made....haha=)At around 9 am, we set off for Changi hospital where we had a great fun-time with all our church friends. The games were interesting and refreshing and I am sure we enjoyed ourselves. Just want to thank Uncle Nick for doing the bible study and ZZ(ZhiZhong)for planning the games. We really appreciated it!!! When it was all over, I had to rush all the way back to church in Punngol for my choir practice.(the choir was for the Christmas year end performance) We had a great time singing. That was how the day ended and now I am typing...lol.Tats all...Goodbye....

Holidays have started....

Omg.....the holidays have started and I am free from school at last!....well not exactly so. I have to go back to school for my CCA, ncc, journalist course and an IT workshop... I also have December holiday homework! I can't believe it...I have never heard of December holiday homework before...hehe=) We have to read 3 recommended books and do a task for each one. We also have to read newspaper articles and do some stuff about it. We also have Mathematics assessment papers to complete....and there is like 60 pages of questions! With tons of homework, I have to reschedule my plans a bit....less going out with friends and so on. Anyway, I feel that the school was quite smart in doing this. I feel that the homework keeps us occupied and kills time. We can also practise and revise for next year...Sec 2. Oh ya...talking about school. I got second in class for my overall examinations!Unfortunately, I lost to the first person in class by 4 marks....haha=) Its a pity but my father said that I should be contented with my results and know that I have done my best. Well, other than that, my form teacher will be transferring to another school next year. She is certainly a wonderful teacher and I know that we will all miss her. My form teacher is one who is really forgiving and patient. Although we keep on making her angry, she forgives us and tells us in a nice tone that we should realise our mistake and repent. I will never forget the love she has showered on us and the things she had done for me. I hope she would have a good life ahead of her. I am now reading a book called The Alchemist.Written by Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist is an inspiring book that talks about living our dreams and not giving up in spite of facing challenging obstacles. As it is said, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. All of you out there should read the book.....seriously. About the party at Daniel's house that Sunday...it was a blast! We swam, played board games and played with balloons. It's amazing how fun can spring up just by playing with balloons!lol...We had pizza for dinner and chocolate cake from four seasons as the birthday cake. It was seriously delicious! Four Seasons cake definitely rocks! Anyway, we had a great time of fellowship....
Just this week, my great grandmother passed away and we went to her funeral. Greatgrandma died from old age and I am feeling really sad.....we visit her only once a year-during Chinese new year-and she treats us really good. I know that God will protect her...and we will definitely miss her.....tats all I have to say...Happy Holidays!

Tmr getting result slips.......

Ello guys. Anyway, it was really boring in school today. We watched a number of shows( I not stupid 2 and Singapore history) and had to sit in class finding ways to kill time. Tomorrow we are getting back our result slips and I am so nervous.....Also, I just received a letter by the school telling me that I have to go back to school during the holidays for NCC....around 10 days altogether... I feel really xian but I think it trains me to be fit. The holidays are like going to start in 2 more days and i just can't wait. Yesterday was kinda fun coz we got to watch some interesting shows....Finding Nemo, Lilo and Stich. Although some people find them lame, I find the shows quite meaningful. Well, my group hasn't really thought of anything for the school's souvenir competition and I don plan on finishing it. For now, tats all I have to say.....I am feeling so bored and can't wait for tmr.

Just created a blog..lol

Hi everybody....this is Paul. Anyway, I just created a blog! lol. Actually, i was advised by someone to create a blog as he said it was a good way to start if I wanted to become a journalist when i grow up....Good news! I was given a 4 year journalist course by my school. I feel that this is a really good opportunity for me...Moreover, i love writing reports and stuff like that.
Examinations are finally over and I have gotten back my results. I am alright with it but the tension is rising as more and more people from my class are scoring well.Especially Betrand...Great job for him! I hope I would get at least top 3 in class as I made a pact with someone.hehe=) Yesterday was my school's promotion/streaming day so I did not go to school. Instead I stayed at home and did some reading and watched television programmes! haha=)I wonder what class I would be promoted to? By the way, I heard from the primary six that as usual, Mathematics was difficult! Wishing all Primary six students all the best! This year is also my sister's O'levels. I know that she will do well as I have been seeing her study so hard! so jie,go go jia you! will keep you in my prayers and support you!
The holidays are drawing nearer...mine starts on the 23rd October so I can't wait for it. I hope I spend my time wisely....But of course I also want to enjoy myself...like playing some sports and hanging out with my good friends from school and from Church...My Church retreat is also approaching and I can't wait for it! The primary six from the pre-teens will be joining us and I hope we would all have a good time of fellowship! I want to take this opportunity to thank all the young teen workers for putting in so much effort in planning the retreat. I can't wait for the ghost stories....(actually that gives me nightmares but for the fun of it)and the fun activities. Oh yah....14th October was my sister's spiritual birthday and we had a mini celebration...One thing funny was that my father and I bought the same gift for her....Hagendaz ice cream( rum and raisin)haha=) Now I know why they say like father like son! This Sunday the young teens boys will be going to Daniel Tan's house to celebrate his birthday...can't wait to see his dog.lol.Anyway Happy Birthday Daniel!!!!
Christmas is also coming and I can't wait to visit my relatives and receive the gifts from them...hahahahah! I just hope that everyone will know the true meaning of Christmas and know that it is not just about receiving gifts. I also want to make some new year resolutions for next year.
Well, my class is sort of chaotic but all in all, it is a fun class. I will miss 1B and juz wanna wish all of you guys all the best in whatever you do! Maybe some of us will go into the same class! who knows?
that's all I have to say today......bye!
