Today, I woke up early in the morning to do my bible study and prayed for more than an hour...hehe=)I learnt in my bible study that the grace of Jesus Christ, the love of the almighty God and the fellowship of the Holy spirit is with all of us. We should do what is right and serve the Lord. We must have faith in him and pray everyday too.
After that, I watched 10 000 B.C which my father borrowed from video Ezy. The show was really interesting and touching. From Roland Emmerich, director of The day after tomorrow and Independence day, 10 000 B.c is a show about a man who tries to rescue his beloved and fulfil his destiny. On the journey, he faces several obstacles such as a saber-toothed tiger and prehistoric predators. Many lives were lost while on the bold trek. In the end, he found an advanced lost civilisation and managed to rescue his beloved.....lol=)
Yesterday was Ncc beach cleaning day so the Ncc members had to assemble in school at 12.45pm. At 1.30pm, we headed for East Coast park to pick up the rubbish there. However at 2.10pm, it started to drizzle and droplets of rain were trickling down our foreheads . Soon it became a downpour and it was raining cats and dogs. We had to quickly rush to the nearest shelter for cover and it was packed like sardines. Sadly or somewhat unfortunately, the event was summarised by the Ncc commander giving us a speech and we picking up rubbish for only half an hour. "It is my pleasure to thank all of you for coming down to clean the East coast beach. We are very fortunate to be living in Singapore and we must each do our part to save the environment,"said the commander of the Ncc.
I feel that although we only picked up rubbish for a short period of time, we learnt many things such as contributing to the society and doing our part to save the environment in which we live, work and play. I felt the the whole experience was meaningful and beneficial. For one, we learnt how to better appreciate what we have....it was really awesome and fun!
Yesterday was also my mother's birthday and I wrote her a card and gave her a gift. However, we did not celebrate it with a cake as it was my sister's O' levels examination. My parents went out together to have dinner- Vietnamese food at a restaurant. They sure enjoyed themselves! Oh boy, there are seriously a lot of birthdays....this Sunday we will be celebrating Sean's birthday and I hope we all have fun. I wonder what present I should buy for him....
Tats all for now, please leave comments! haha+)
